I am passionate about meeting new people, learning new ways of doing things, traveling, and exploring new cultures. These passions have led me to work with families, adolescents and individuals in Canada, USA and India. The insights that I've gained about peoples and cultures all over the world have shaped my philosophy and approach to counselling.
I believe everyone has the tools and knowledge to shape their own journey and future the way that best fits them. This belief led me to use Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach, mindfulness and yoga, all of which I use my counselling approach so that all aspects of an individual are in healthy.
Living twelve years in India has given me a deep appreciation for the qualities of life that sustain people through hardships and stresses. I believe that the mind, body and soul are interwoven, and when all three work in harmony, peace results and one's direction is clear.
In my personal life, I have taught Yoga for Kids, and I continue to develop my own personal yoga practice. I am an avid world traveller, love the adventure of going 'off roads and meeting new people. I nourish my creative side with writing articles for magazines, and writing my memoir.
